In order to implement the agreements reached during the Association of Futures Markets (AFM) conference which took place in Amsterdam
(the Netherlands) in March 2010 the working group of Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange OJSC assisted in the meeting of General Assembly AFM in Interlaken (Switzerland) on 7 September, 2010. During the meeting the BUCE’s representatives officially applied for entry in the above mentioned international association, held a summit with leadership of AFM and exchanges (members of AFM) on supporting the application of BUCE and possible ways of interexchange co-operation.
Besides BUCE’s representatives took part in the arrangements within the bounds of International Forum on derivative markets of Swiss Futures and Options Association (SFOA) “Burgenstock Meeting” on 8-10 September, 2010. In the course of the Forum the present situation and urgent issues in the sphere of derivative markets have been discussed, moreover forecasts of term commodity markets development have been made.
Information: Association of Futures Markets (AFM) is an international organization consolidating exchanges, clearing and other organizations in both developed and developing countries. The key issue of AFM is to provide comprehensive support to exchanges and organizations related to the exchange activities in order to establish contacts and develop co-operation, sharing experiences and information between them.
Currently AFM includes 35 members, among which are RTS (Russia), National Agricultural Exchange (Colombia), Multi-commodity Exchange of India, Iran Mercantile Exchange, Taiwan Futures Exchange, Singapore Mercantile Exchange, Sofia Commodity Exchange (Bulgaria), Warsaw Mercantile Exchange (Poland), the Swiss Futures and Options Association, the Dubai gold and commodities exchange.
