Poland tops the list of major buyers of low-grade raw wood via BUCE
Poland accounts for over 59% of the total exports of low-grade raw wood via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).
Overall, since early June 2019, some 252 thsd cbm of these products to the tune of 5.5 mln EUR have been sold across borders using BUCE’s trading platform.
Besides Poland, the list of top three buyers of Belarusian raw wood includes Lithuania and Latvia with 22.5 and 14.7% of the total exports respectively. All in all residents of 11 countries, including Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia and Turkey have been participating in exchange auctions. Softwood has been particularly popular among foreign buyers. As far as sales volumes are concerned, the results of the last 9 trading sessions indicate a clear upward trend.
